Dr. Geeta S. Iyengar taught her last European Teachers Convention in Cologne in 2009. For future generations of teachers and students who will not have the benefits of studying first-hand with Geetaji, Iyengar Yoga Deutschland (IYD) saw the need for a book to document and preserve Geetaji's, and by extension, Guruji's teaching for posterity.
Dr. Geeta S. Iyengar taught her last European Teachers Convention in Cologne in 2009.
Certified Iyengar Yoga teachers from across Europe and the world gathered for five days in May for asana, pranayama, sutra chanting, and questions and answers. Abhijata Sridhar Iyengar accompanied her aunt to Europe and assisted in all the classes and sessions. Those who attended were blessed to have the intensive time with Geetaji to deepen our yoga practice and teaching.
